Steps to apply

To benefit from New Heights Academy students need to be able to work in small groups, at least a portion of the day. We look at the functional developmental levels of each child rather than their diagnosis; targeting developmental challenges with developmental solutions. Students are assessed to identify areas of strength and areas of concern by teachers. An inter-disciplinary comprehensive program is developed based on each student’s individual profile.

Tour the School

Parent(s) must tour the school prior to applying.  The tours are an opportunity to see the school’s classrooms and campus. Call our office at (770) 530-7394 or email Janica@NewHeightsAcademyGA.org to make an appointment.

Application

Once a tour has been completed and the parent feels that NHA is an appropriate setting for their child, an application must be submitted for review.  Applications will be sent electronically upon request during open enrollment.

Review

NHA reviews each application and, if appropriate, will set up two separate visits with the child. An application fee of $100 will be due prior to the first admissions visit.  The first visit will be a short visit with the Education Director/Vivian Gesualdi, M.Ed.  The student will also be required to make a second, longer visit to spend time in a classroom.  NHA requires these visits with the student before any admission decisions can be made.

Notification and/or Acceptance

NHA will notify parent by phone or in writing when a decision has been reached.  Upon Acceptance  an enrollment contract will be issued and first quarter of school year deposit will be required within 10 business days.
